Access Yoga to bring you to calm and balance with Becky Pell
It’s estimated that 1 in 4 Australians will experience an anxiety disorder at some time in their lives. Anyone who has suffered from anxiety knows how upsetting and debilitating it can be. Happily, there is help at hand.
Yoga Therapy is the targeted application of yoga techniques to improve the individual’s overall quality of life. Becky works with the physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual wellbeing of the whole person, and her mission is to help clients and students to develop a ‘yoga toolkit’, to navigate life’s journey with comfort, ease and joy.
In this Yoga Therapy workshop you’ll learn about the biomechanics of stress and anxiety, and explore simple ways to manage symptoms and reduce their severity by calming and balancing the nervous system. The workshop will include asana, meditation, pranayama, visualisation, intention-setting, progressive relaxation and Yoga Nidra (deep rest). You’ll come away from this experience feeling empowered and relaxed, armed with your own ‘yoga toolkit’ of practical techniques that you can use at any time to help you feel safer, calmer and more grounded.
All levels welcome. No yoga experience is necessary.
