Susan is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher who holds an Introductory Level II teaching certificate.
She has studied with the Iyengar family in Pune, India and has attended live-in retreats with Dr Geeta Iyengar and other Indian and Australian Senior Iyengar teachers. She continues to develop her knowledge and teaching skills by attending ongoing professional development with Senior Iyengar teacher Caroline Coggins in Sydney.
Susan is passionate about the benefits of yoga to overcome both physical and mental obstacles. She guides her students with enthusiasm and compassion so that they may experience the sense of positive wellbeing and inner peace which regular practice offers.
LEVEL I CLASS – MONDAY 9.00am
This class will refine and consolidate the basics of yoga, concentrating on standing poses, forward bends and twists. The class will also introduce preparation for shoulderstand.
LEVEL I-II CLASS – THURSDAY 7.30am
This class will build strength and confidence and progress students to full shoulderstand, with various preparation for other inversions. It will be suitable for Level I students who have mastered preparation for shoulderstand. Level II students who wish to attend this class will also be accommodated.
LEVEL II CLASS – TUESDAY 9.00am & FRIDAY 7.00am
This class (for intermediate students with several years of experience) will generate a deeper understanding of yoga, help to build strength and will include full headstand, shoulderstand and backbends. Note the Friday class is for 2 hours extended and costs $5 more than standard class price.
