Slow Flow Yoga Monday 6.30am and Wednesday 6.00pm
Cam began practising yoga 17 years ago initially to stabilise and strengthen his lower back and core after years of farming and landscaping. Those early classes left him feeling a sense of calmness and overall wellness. Cam soon realised that yoga truly is an holistic experience, benefiting not only the physical body, through strength and flexibility, but also emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
This union of mind, body and spirit is achieved by focusing our attention on the breath. Awareness of breath calms the thinking mind, allowing stillness, clarity and consciousness to arise from within.
He went on to qualify RYT-200 with Zuna Yoga in the tantric Hatha Yoga tradition.
Cam teaches a Hatha yoga vinyasa flow, focusing very much on connecting movement and breath. We learn to listen, feel into our bodies and be kind to ourselves. Our practice may then evolve into a moving meditation, free from ego, expectation and attachment.
Cam has a passion to particularly encourage more men to experience Yoga.
You’re never too old, and being flexible is definitely NOT a prerequisite. In my experience the benefits of a regular yoga practice flow over into everyday life. In times of stress, anxiety or self doubt; simply breathing can transform our inner world into a space of peace and calm.
