This yoga sequence is geared towards a more gentle unraveling of the inner tension at a deep cellular level moving beyond warm muscles into connective tissues – which is where real flexibility unfolds.
With Yin yoga the poses are held longer (3-10mins) and the stretch is subtler. This encourages deep release of connective tissue and is not aimed at building muscle strength. It will stimulate blood flow to joint capsules, ligaments and fascia (connective tissue), so increasing general energetic wellbeing and joint health.
Suitable for all levels. Yin yoga is complementary to your more active practice – no matter what level of flexibility or resistance you may have. Poses can be modified with the use of props to support all body types.
