Choose a class appropriate for your level
The Vinyasa style refers to the mindful sequencing of movement and breath to create a natural flow. A form of movement meditation building flexibility, strength, stamina and awareness of energy flow. Move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale and the poses run together as a fluid sequence. Explore range of motion, release toxins and blockages on a physical, mental and spiritual level, energize the body and most importantly bring peace to the mind.
Classes includes warm-ups, sun salutes, balancing, floor stretches and inversions, pranayama and a well-earned deep Savasana relaxation.
General Vinyasa is a mixed level, general practice and everyone is welcome. Some classes will be faster and some slower, but you’ll be given a range of options and modifications for each posture so that you can work at your own pace and according to your body’s needs.
Saturday 8.00am, Tuesday 9.15am, Thursday 9.15am, Friday 9.15am
Slow Flow Vinyasa introduces simple breathing techniques, stretch, tone and strengthen the body safely. You will learn safe alignment to suit your body, using props as necessary and the basics of accessing breath and turning on core strength.
This class will give you a good foundation in yoga or suit those recovering from an injury or needing to take care of their bodies with a gentle stretch. From here you may prepare to transition to the stronger Vinyasa practices. See also our Yin Yoga classes.
Monday 6.30am, Tuesday 7.00am & Wednesday 6.00pm
Power Vinyasa extends your practice to a deeper level and is suited to those who have experience and understanding of alignment and a moderate fitness level. Strengthening dynamic sequences with emphasis on the breath to cultivate a deeper immersion into your yoga journey.
This class is open to all those that have a mindful practice, respecting their edges and knowing how far to safely challenge themselves.
